In late 2019, around November, my spiritual journey led me to explore Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation. At that time, grappling with personal and professional crises, I sought solace in various spiritual organizations, ranging from Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism to ISKCON, until I finally found my way to the Isha Foundation.
In an attempt to quench my spiritual thirst, I decided to try the simple guided meditation available on the Sadhguru App called Isha Kriya. Practicing it diligently for 40-42 days, twice a day, I began to experience a profound sense of freedom and witnessed an improvement in my psychological well-being. This positive shift prompted me to explore further, leading me to incorporate Hatha yoga practices like Surya Kriya into my routine. The result? Heightened energy levels, enhanced mental awareness, and improved focus.
As my journey unfolded, I decided to enroll for the Inner Engineering online program in 2020. Comprising 7 online videos to be completed within 30 days, this immersive experience deepened my understanding and connection with the teachings of Sadhguru, further enriching my spiritual exploration.
Upon completing the Inner Engineering program, I eagerly awaited January 10, 2021, when I had the unique opportunity to be initiated into the Shambhavi Mahamudra online. Being part of this historic event, first-of-its-kind online transmission was truly special and marked a significant milestone in my spiritual journey.
Engaging in the Shambhavi Mahamudra practice for 6 months brought about a remarkable transformation in my life. Addiction, compulsions, and mental and emotional turmoil gradually dissolved, leaving me feeling like a renewed individual.
Practicing in the presence of Devi added an emotional depth to my journey, often bringing tears during my sessions. I guess it was healing me emotionally as Sadhguru says a kriya never works similarly on two persons, it depends upon the requirement of your system.
Beyond the emotional and energetic rejuvenation, these practices made me more efficient in my day-to-day activities. I found myself navigating life with greater stability and a newfound freedom from compulsions and addictions.
